BATH. BOOKS. BIG CUP OF TEA.
BY KARA GREEN
1. MAGNESIUM BATHS
I've been trying to fit in more baths and have found them really soothing - even if it happens to be at a random time of day when I'm kid free. Epsom salts are great because the magnesium is calming and soothes everything from sore muscles to digestion! I'll add some essential oils and play some tunes. Just 10-20 min does wonders.
2. BOOK BEFORE BED
Trade the phone for a real book. Instead of scrolling IG that hour before bed I've been trying to read instead. I gravitate towards self care books - like meditation, inspirational stories and books on how we work as humans. I find I fall asleep easier and in a calmer state.
3. REPLACE WINE WITH TEA
It took me some time to get into the whole tea ritual but I've found some flavors I love and have added super food powders to make the tea creamy and delicious! After dinner I make a stress relieving tea which is holy basil with tocos (vitamin E powder that adds creaminess) and ho shou wu (hormone balancer) ashwaganda (another stress reducer) and walnut milk.
