OPRAH, BATHS AND CULTIVATING VITALITY

1. MEDITATION

Aim for it daily. Just noticing your breath. I use essential oils so that throughout the day, I put the same oil on my hands or wrists and take a quick moment of re-centering back to my breath.

2. SALT BATHS (AND OPRAH)

Try for 3x a week. I pulled plants and a nice rug and drawings of Oprah into my bathroom to create my own mini retreat center here at home. I keep a container of Epsom salt near the tub and throw in a drop or two of essential oil. I usually do a mud mask once a week in that mix, too.

3. INSPIRATION

I struggle with depression. The opposite of depression is vitality. If i want to cultivate more vitality in my life, that's translated in seeking inspiration. I make sure to take in some sort of art - at the museum, or a film, or an interview, a podcast, a book, an artist's home, studio, or portfolio....I do this every week and talk about it to everyone i see that week and write about it. I also started putting these lists together and sending them out to a group of people once a month to get suggestions or feedback from others as well.
