WELLNESS TIPS FROM A SAUNA PRO

1. YOGA VIDEOS

Movement of any kind is key self care for me.  If you can't fathom getting to a whole yoga class, it's hard to argue with some short videos at home. You can easily sit at your computer for 30 more minutes OR do a 30-minute vinyasa online. I like the free videos from "Yoga with Adriene". She has a short video, "yoga for when you're in a bad mood" which actually really works for me. 

2. BODY TREATS

I use holistic skincare products that I consider "body treats." After a run and a hot shower I use Dr. Hauschka's Birch Arnica body oil and Rosemary Arm & Leg toner. They both smell amazing and it's a nice reward for running your buns around in cold weather. Evanhealy's coconut face cleanser is like a delicious, moisturizing face dessert. I give myself a mini face massage with it before bed and it's very soothing. 

3. SAUNA

Of course I have to say that sauna is excellent self-care, and I believe it. Sometimes even just 20 minutes transforms my body and brain energy. It also forces me to drink more water. The combination of some extra water and a bit of sweating really flushes stagnation out of my body and makes room for fresh energy.
