ADDING IN THE GOOD VS. ELIMINATING THE BAD
BY KIMY ANDRADE
For me it's about focusing on adding in the good versus eliminating the bad. Essentially, the energy shifts as you feel better and the 'bad' decreases naturally or with some ease. It's great to start from the simplest of places. The sum is a total of all its parts.
1. Move more
I practice yoga almost every morning before my son awakes. I feel better ready for the day energetically and know that I was able to add fitness in at a time when nothing would lessen my chances of doing so.
2. Drink more water
I find that the more hydrated I am, my consumption of food is more mindful (amount and type), digestion and release of toxins is efficient, body feels more balanced, and my skin appears better. Measure half your body weight in ounces and that is your suggested water intake in ounces per day.
3. Sleep more
This is really challenging for me. I stay up late either to find some 'me' time or to work uninterrupted. But when I make the conscious effort to get at least 7-8 (ideally 8) hours of rest, everything is smoother...from skin to mental clarity to productivity.
