Spring has officially sprung and it's time to clean out those closets to make room for that "old-new"!
Join us for a fun-filled evening that is all about the SWAP. Swapping clothes, style tips, new mom friend phone numbers.... This special event will be co-hosted by Luinluland aka style vlogger (and teen boy mom) Lou Featherstone who will not only help organize clothes by style/value/size but also share some of her personal experience on how you can revive your closet and spring looque.
Your $10 entry will be donated to Rosehaven PDX (as well as any clothes that don't get swapped). Wine and snacks will be served!

TOKEN SYSTEM FOR SWAPPING
We want every single woman to go home happy and with an arm full of new outfits. We also want every woman to get close to what they bring so it feels fair and it encourages people to swap higher quality items....
When we get your bag, we will sort it into 3 sections: Gold / Silver /Bronze.
When you arrive on the night, you will be issued with your tokens to 'spend!'
Gold/3 tokens = Designer & high end items
Silver/2 tokens = good quality high street stores + great vintage pieces e.g. Zara/Madewell
Bronze/1 token = basic items e.g. H&M/forever21/Target
WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE SWAP
As you arrive, everything will be organized into sections and on rails. We encourage everyone to show up on time. There will be a chance to have a glass of wine and peruse the rails and try things on.
There will be a 10m minute warning and then all clothes go back on the rails.
Then, Lou will declare the SWAP open and it's elbows out & every woman for herself!
No fighting or scratching is allowed! :)
Can I attend even if I don't donate clothes for the swap?
You need to pre-donate clothes to swap! If you've already cleared out your own closet but are dying to attend, help a friend to clear her closet out and join on her behalf :)
Are babies welcome?
Pre-crawling babes are welcome but things can get a bit crazy with all the swapping so please keep this in mind!
What types of clothes can i bring for swap?
We encourage you to bring things you no longer wear or thought you'd wear all the time but never did! Swap the stuff that doesn't fit you anymore and you've had enough of. Please remember, one woman's Goodwill bag is another woman's treasure!!! Even if you don't like it, someone else will!! That's the whole point! Everything from Prada to H&M, vintage and handmade, we'll take it all as long as it's clean and in good condition!
What about sizing?
Every one of us is a different shape and size too, so there will be something for all of your beautiful bodies! And yes we will happily take maternity/nursing friendly stuff too!
Can I bring kids clothes?
This is a grown lady swap so we will not be swapping kiddie items this time.
What types of clothes should I NOT bring?
Please don't send in your old knickers and underwear!!!! Or things that are stained or damaged.
What about shoes/accessories?
Who doesn't love shoes?!!!!! Yes! We take shoes/purses/handbags/hats.
Will there be dressing rooms/private area to get undressed?
It does all tend to get a bit crazy! There will be one private dressing room but it's mostly all in together. After a glass of wine, everyone clothes start coming off and for me, this is when the woman magic happens! (do consider wearing your best underwear for trying things on!!)
What happens to my items that don't get picked? Do I take them back home?
Any left over clothes will be donated to Rosehaven Shelter for homeless women in our community. Nothing will go to waste. They have a huge closet for women to select from and its a valuable lifeline for the women. It doesn't matter who you are - getting new clothes gives you a sense of confidence and makes you feel good.
